Pavan Kaul from Mumbai, India

A wonderful composition in monochrome Xavier! I like the balance between the solo tree to the left and the gentle rolling hills in the distance on the right!

@Pavan Kaul: Thanks, I see you understood my intentions in this capture

khadi from New Delhi, India

Lovely. The sole tree heightens the feeling of solitude in this shot.

@khadi: Thanks Khadi

XaviH from Badalona (almost Barcelona), Spain

Xavier... Menorca!!! Quins records i quina enveja!!!

Moridi from Tehran, Iran

Very good B&W shot.
Thank you.

Nice composition. Like the black and white/tones.

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

Very nice. Yesterday you suggested that I add more grass at the bottom. If this were my photograph, I would crop off some of the bottom and create a panoramic. One the things that I like most about photography is our diversity. Thank goodness that most of us don't have to please anyone but ourselves.

@john4jack: Absolutly agree. You are right. There is too much grass. Actually you are not the first one to tell me. I must change that. Thanks so much for you suggestion.

observing from North West, United Kingdom

A nice moody shot, the dark tones work well.

bluechameleon from Vancouver, Canada

Five start from me on this frame. The lone tree is a favourite subject and this image is poetic!

k@ from Paris, France

Such a great mood here too ! You're a champ for lightssssss !

30 Apr 2009 8:08pm

@k@: I must admit that the cropping is not well achieved. There is too much grass, I should've cropped a bit of the bottom. Thanks.
